What are the Fundamentals? Revenue, earnings, prospects for growth. Not technical investing from stock charts. After many years of investing, I've learned that the best way to invest is to follow and evaluate the fundamentals. This stock market blog reflects my latest thinking. I've been an investor and speculator for many years, starting way back in the 1960s when I was a runner on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Pokeypine No More
My old stock market blog "Pokeypine" has been archived. I'm starting this new one "The Fundamentalist." The name reflects my disenchantment with technical charting, which I followed in my youth. Never made any money at it. Following the fundamentals works better, I can say from my personal experience. I mostly look at a company's return on capital and its growth prospects. I see this blog mainly as a dialog with myself - writing my thoughts down, I can often see where I'm going right or wrong, so it's useful to me. If it's useful to you, the reader, so much the better. --Richard Gillmann
